In this new Nissan z model, I can literally sleep inside the trunk of a two-door sports car. This Z has 400 horsepower and comes with 6-speed manual transmission. Yes, you can opt for 9 speed automatic but don’t do that get the manual Nissan z. It also has launch assist with the manual. Its rear-wheel drive yet it is practical enough to go on a weekend vacation and pack two large bags inside of the z trunk seriously storage space inside z is impressive. The amazing feature of z ( this is only for those who don’t know the driving) is if you press the Z button you all of the sudden become a professional driver so if you go ahead and downshift. You don’t even have to blip the throttle. The second you push the clutch in and slot it into gear it does rev-match every single time. The next feature of z is the fully customizable 12.3 instrument z cluster is in normal mode. The speedometer is on the right and the tachometer on left but there are three different layouts to choose from if we go to the steering wheel mounted controls by the way the steering wheel is phenomenal. This thing is starting at just 40,000 dollars If you compared it to the supra it’s almost laughable you can get a base model for 4 thousand dollars more and that comes with 4 cylinders that have 255 horsepower. If you get the upgraded supra it cost you 12000 or 13000 dollars more than the Nissan Z and the automatic transmission in the supra is not good but the Nissan Z is really impressive. The shifts are fast and if you get the premium trim you get paddles off of the Nissan GTR but seriously a 400 horsepower rear wheel drive car with the limited-slip rear differential and manual transmission and by the way, the manual feels phenomenal the actual engagement of the clutch is great the throws feel fantastic the shift linkage is nice the actual distance of the throws is nice it really is impressive and steering feel is great as well we got the double-wishbone front suspension multi-link rear suspension it’s 10 stiffer than the previous generation 370z but all in comes together as such an incredible package a fun daily driver you could literally daily drive this car with how much space there is in the back and then also blast in canyons or take it to an autocross event or take it to the racetrack. The last amazing feature of the new Nissan Z is the retro-modern design it borrows so many stylish design cues from Nissan Z’s of the past. I have to highlight them for you guys firstly we’ve got that massive rectangular grille that is reminiscent of the original 240 Z only in this case it’s made bigger for additional cooling now if we move to the headlights you will see the daytime running lights form this beautiful little circle the original 240 Z had a circular headlight but when they actually reflected off of the lens they made a similar little glare reflection as similar shape as the new Nissan Z. I also love the katana line this silver design element right here that’s shaped like a katana and if we come to the rear of the car it’s got very similar but modernized tail lights to the 300 ZX of the 1990s.
